Aju Business Daily reported that BiX was preparing to launch DeepScout, an AI platform for earlier detection of multiple cancers. The system is intended to detect signs at a pre-cancerous stage and support clinicians before disease becomes more difficult to treat.

The workflow collects CT images and clinical information, improves data quality, analyzes several cancers through a multi-label diagnostic model, and visualizes the results. By evaluating relationships among multiple organs, the platform aims to overcome limitations of systems that assess one cancer or one organ at a time.

BiX applies quantitative analysis to CT and clinical indicators and uses image-restoration technology developed through more than ten years of research. This is intended to improve stability when scans contain low-dose noise, metal artifacts, motion, or other quality problems commonly encountered in hospitals.

The company reported 95% diagnostic accuracy for pancreatic cancer, more than one million secured data cases, multiple patents, and published research. Hospital proof-of-concept projects were underway, with plans to expand from liver, biliary-tract, and pancreatic cancer to additional organs.

The report identifies BiX as a company led by Janghwan Choi of Ewha Womans University's Department of Artificial Intelligence and connects the technology to his team's earlier work in self-supervised representation learning for medical-image analysis.
