A Korea Health Industry Development Institute feature highlighted BiX's multimodal AI platform for earlier abdominal cancer detection, its clinical collaboration model, and its path toward PACS-integrated commercialization.
Hankyung Magazine profiled BiX as a faculty-founded medical AI company established in October 2024 under the vision of expanding and converging biological intelligence with technology. The company aims to move academic advances into clinical practice and improve survival by helping clinicians identify abdominal cancer earlier.
The profile describes three core technologies. BiX combines CT images with medical history, genomic information, blood-test indicators, and other clinical data; tracks tissue changes across time and across related abdominal organs; and restores ultra-low-dose CT images with deep-learning reconstruction so that lower radiation exposure does not prevent reliable interpretation.
DeepScout's pancreatic-cancer proof of concept reached 95% diagnostic accuracy. Rather than stopping at visible tumor detection, the platform is designed to examine pre-cancerous changes and interactions among surrounding organs. BiX plans to connect the software to existing PACS environments as a plug-in so hospitals can adopt it without replacing their established workflow.
